There are many different levels in the martial art Taekwondo, including white, yellow, green, blue, red, and black belt. Taekwondo is a lifelong journey that is a process of growing and improving one’s inner and outer strength, willpower, and degree of mindfulness, throughout each stage. If you are a more advanced Taekwondo athlete looking for further stimulation and motivation to progress your skills, Gracie Barra offers Advanced Taekwondo to athletes seeking a challenge. The advanced Taekwondo class builds on core kicks, sparring, and styles that are taught in the Fundamentals of Taekwondo class, and works toward kicking or blowing through more challenging boards, learning more advanced sparring methods, and developing a personalized style of Taekwondo. It is essential to keep in mind that advanced Taekwondo takes immense commitment, inner and outer strength, and willpower, so athletes are encouraged to take a private training lesson at least once a month, or as often as they’d like, to improve their strengths and weaknesses one-on-one with an instructor.
Taekwondo can be a wonderful sport for kids to practice. Taekwondo is centered around building values such as strength, health, mindfulness, confidence, and happiness. From the moment that your child steps through the doors of Gracie Barra, they will feel welcomed and excited to learn the martial art of Taekwondo alongside other kids their age. Students will become more confident and happy, focused, and strong, which are values that will seep into other aspects of their life, not just when they are in class. Our instructors are committed to making sure that parents are satisfied with their child’s progress, and if at any time a parent has a concern, it’ll be addressed quickly.
